Peter Black is a Scottish engineer who works in
physics research and specializes in designing and building apparatus for
cutting edge experiments. When he is not building new things to aid the
furthering of human knowledge he indulges in woodwork, music
production, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, 3D modeling and jewelry
making as well as building the occasional robot amongst many other
pastimes. He has a broad skill set in both the design and manufacture of
custom hardware and software.
His artistic output has sold many works
over the years and has been exhibited numerous times at The Hive Gallery
in Los Angeles. He has published a successful zine on the meaning of
art “This is art. This is not art” . Many of his pieces have found their
way in private collections around the world.
From his base to the west of Edinburgh he creates things as the mood takes him.
